A certificate of insurance only summarizes a policy. A checked “additional insured” box doesn’t protect you on its own. The endorsement page does. DueLantern can require those pages.
- Go to Vendors and open your insurance minimums.
- Check what you require: additional insured endorsement page (like CG 20 10), completed operations (CG 20 37), waiver of subrogation, and your coverage amounts.
- Leave “Automatically ask for a fix” on, and click Save minimums.
When a vendor uploads a certificate that falls short, they see exactly what’s missing on the upload page, and DueLantern emails them (and their insurance agent) a fix list with a link to upload the corrected certificate. You still review and approve everything.
Tip: DueLantern flags certificates for your review. It doesn’t verify policies with insurers or give insurance advice.
