Renewal date calculator

Work out when a license, certification or policy expires, and when to start reminding people, so nothing lapses.

Presets are common lengths only. Always check the exact expiration date printed on the document or with the issuing organization.

How to plan renewal reminders

Some renewals take weeks: a class to book, an exam, a background check, or paperwork from an insurer. A good rule is a first reminder 60–90 days before the expiration date for anything that needs a course or approval, then follow-ups at 30 days, 7 days and the day before.

Keep in mind that each issuing organization sets its own rules. The date printed on the card or certificate is what counts.
