Why I built DueLantern
Hi, I’m Carson, the founder of DueLantern.
The problem
Almost every small business has a pile of things that quietly expire: employee CPR cards, trade licenses, forklift certifications, the business license, general liability insurance, vehicle registrations, permits. Each one has its own date, and missing one can mean a fine, a failed inspection, a lost contract or an employee who can’t legally work that day.
Most teams track all of this in a spreadsheet, a calendar, or someone’s memory. That works until the one person who keeps it updated is on vacation, or a reminder gets buried, or an employee “will get to it next week” for three weeks in a row.
What DueLantern does differently
The hard part isn’t knowing the date. It’s chasing people and collecting the new document. So DueLantern does that part for you: it reads the expiration date from the document, reminds the employee before it expires, gives them a simple link to upload the renewal from their phone, and alerts you if anything goes overdue. You just approve.
How I run it
- Simple pricing. Plans are priced by team size, with no limits on how many items you track.
- Real support. When you email, you reach me directly.
- Your data is yours. Export it anytime, and delete it anytime.
- Honest about what we are. DueLantern is a young, small company. I’d rather tell you that up front than pretend otherwise.
Say hi
I read every email at support@duelantern.com. If DueLantern is missing something your business needs, I’d genuinely love to hear about it.
– Carson
