- Go to Requirements and click “Import spreadsheet”.
- Choose your Excel (.xlsx) or CSV file, or paste rows copied from a spreadsheet. The top row should have column names.
- Check the column matches. DueLantern guesses which column is the employee, the requirement and the expiration date. Fix any that look wrong.
- Review the list. Add email addresses for any new employees.
- Click “Import”.
- One row per license or certificate. If Jane has CPR and a forklift license, she gets two rows.
- Write “Company” in the employee column for company-wide items like insurance.
- Rows without a date are imported as “Needs document”.
- Importing the same file twice won’t create duplicates.
Tip: Our free Employee Certification Tracker template imports as-is.
